Sally at Scarritt Bennett was great! She was very helpful and quick to respond as I was looking into places for my ceremony. Even after signing the contract she was in touch to let me know deadlines and worked with me on the day and time for my bridal shoot. The chapel is gorgeous and with it being Christmas time there were two trees up front so we didn’t even need any other decor. The organ sounded great and Sally gave me information for a great organist. Everything went smoothly and pictures turned our great! That grounds are beautiful and lend to many unique shots. I would highly recommend using Wightman Chapel!

Susie did our wedding cake and groom’s cake and she did an AMAZING job! They were delicious and beautiful and we got so many compliments it was crazy. Susie is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and she does amazing work. It is evident that she puts her talent and love into everything she does. We HIGHLY recommend her!

I just came back from the 2009 annual conference for the Association of Bridal Consultants in Indianapolis . The highlight of the 3 days of seminars and fun was the opportunity to hear cake designer Sylvia Weinstock speak! She has a very warm, inviting personality and I believe has retained her humbleness and perspective even though she is probably one of the best of all the internationally reknowned cake designers.

She totally resonated with the wedding planners there regarding how a bride in our American culture has totally gotten out of whack regarding the misplaced importance of literally 5 hours of 2 peoples lives! There is something wrong when a bride or mother of the bride’s expectations of the wedding day are so unrealistic that the term “bridezilla” has become part of everyone’s vocaulary!

So if wedding trends swing like a pendulum, what was once over the top lavish to a point of decandence, is now returning to what is really important in a wedding; a celebration of the love a couple has for one another in an elegant, intimate atmosphere with close family members and friends!
